I need help!!

I have been trying to backup my database since yesterday morning but to no avail. You see, I made it a point to backup my stuff every Friday, eversince the incident that happened two months ago. So yesterday morning, I was doing the routine backup but the backup was never completed.

The most progress must have been about 70%. Nothing more. And I have tried refreshing the backup process countless times.

I thought the connection must have been slow (or weak, or whatever) yesterday, so I tried again this morning. The same thing happened, only worse. The blue bar never went beyond 50% *pulls hair*

Now, can anybody please tell me what the problem is? Please…??? By the way, I am using Scott Merrill’s WordPress Database Backup version 1.7.

I have had this “Remember” theme in my local drive for, like, ages months but have never used it. Partly because I quite like the previous theme, and partly because I thought the “three swimming fish” on the header didn’t seem appropriate - in fact, I would prefer a couple of cutie turtles but since I know NOTHING about themes and designs, I thought I should just shut my mouth and use whatever is pretty and available *smiles*

Anyway, I got this directly from Becca’s website. She is very good at designing WordPress themes (or is it because I happen to like all her designs?) and she offers them FOC. Check out her designs here. I used her “Dusk” theme in my first joint-blog with my sister, which is pretty much defunct now :( And I used her “Thirteen” theme in my previous blog.

Anyway, pretty Becca also happens to love turtles *smiles* In fact, one of her themes, Ocadia, is named after a turtle. And *drum roll please* her three turtles blog too!! Visit them at Turtlog.

Yea, I know, I did not leave you a note to say that I was abandoning my blog not going to be blogging for a couple of days, my bad.. Anyway, I had just returned from a short holiday back home during which the only time I logged into the Internet was for the few-blogathon-hours.

Well, the Blogathon has come and gone. And though I had sooo much fun despite cracking my brains for fresh blogging materials, I also have to admit that I was quite disappointed to learn about the total pledged amount. I could have seen it coming, but I refused to believe. I refused to believe that it was so difficult to raise funds for an organization that deserved it sooo much. I refused to believe that the general public would turn a blind eye to such efforts *sigh*

Anyway, in four hours, I managed to cough up 10 posts. But if you have some spare time, I would like to invite you to browse through the entire Blogathon 2006 archive :)

Of my aunt and Eden

I blogged about “myself” instead of about terrapins because I wasn’t sure whether people who stayed up late would like to read about the four-legged-and-almost-becoming-extinct animals :) And to those who have dropped by to say “Hello”, thank you very much, you guys were my motivators :)

And, a big THANK YOU to those who have pledged (and it is NOW the time to deliver) for Eden. I am sure your donations will go a loooong way. By the way, I have just received an email from Madelene which says that they will be bringing 55 disabled persons on a 3D2N trip to Genting Highlands and KL on 28 - 30 September, how cool is that?! :) Needless to say, both Madelene and Bertie of Eden would require a lot of help from the public to make the trip possible. If you think you can be of help during any stage (from the organizing to the actual trip), I suggest you email or call them, OK? More details here.
