I have been clearing my spams as frequently as I blink my eyes. OK, not THAT bad, but still..

Anyway, is it ME or have the spammers acquired a higher level of spam knowledge which enables them to flood my comment box 24/7?!

AARRGGHHHH!

Note: I hope you guys passed your Math back in school because I have just installed a spam-fighting plugin! Muahahaha.. Now let’s do some practising, 3 and 2 makes 5….

Let me tell you something funny. Or rather, annoying - because I really don’t find it funny to be juggled like a ball, from one court to the other.

You see, I lost my October posts on the 8th. In fact, my brother realized the missing posts and alerted me, after which I sent an emergency SMS to my sifu. He willingly promised to look into the matter, for which I was very grateful, indeed I had “officially lost” five published posts AND comments, and two unpublished drafts - both on breast cancer. My sifu adviced me to contact my host to ask what was going on, and whether they had an up-to-date backup of the database. MY database. And all I got from them was, “We will restore the latest available database from the old server. We will notify you as soon as it has been restored.”

So after discussing with my sifu, I had decided to republish the missing posts, and that was exactly what I did on the 8th. And I even “started blogging as I’d normally do” on the 9th, when I published a post on Julia and her website.

But this morning I received two emails from my host. The first email says, “Our attempt to restore the old account was unsuccessful due to its existence in the new server. Which means we’d have to temporarily terminate your account in order to restore the old one. We will notify you as soon as it is done. We are truly sorry for the inconvenience caused. Thank you for your patience.” And the second one says, “We have restored your account using the last available backup on the old server dated 8.10.2006. Please let us know should you need assistance on anything else. Thank you.”

Are you following me?

My host had just restored my database as of October 8th, over-writing my republished posts and a new post which I made on the 9th!! So now I am back to square one. All the republished posts are gone. And so is the newly-published post on Julia and her website, Honest Medicine.

Maybe I should email my host to give them a piece of my mind.

But maybe not since all my “missing” posts AND comments AND drafts are back.

Sooo ridiculous la.

I cannot seem to write any new posts because my faithful Acer acts up on me, for the first few times The Acer must have heard that the Dell will be arriving today *winks* I have tried numerous times but it took forever to load my WordPress dashboard, then it took another forever to load the WRITE page and when I saved my drafts, it took another forever to save and then reload them *sigh*

Anyway, my sister has gladly promised to guest-blog here help keep my blog alive, thank goodness
