Have you read about Jessica Gaude, the seven-year-old girl who weighs a whooping 222kg??! She eats 10,000 calories a day, and if you don’t know how much that is, imagine gobbling lots of Coca-Colas, 15 hamburgers with fries and several kilograms of chocolate. Not surprisingly, what she eats in one day, some children eat in half a year.

The sad thing is that when she last visited the doctor four years ago, she weighed (only) 110kg. Unfortunately, she can no longer run and instead of walking she drags herself on the floor. Under such bodily weight her bones have already become distorted. And another scarier thing is that Jessica’s mother, Carolyn, gives her daughter whatever she wants.

Gosh.

Pudding shakeSo, if you think your child is eating too much and may become obese, you may want to try some of the diet foods available from Bariatric Choice. If you haven’t already guessed it, bariatric refers to “the branch of medicine dealing with the causes, prevention, and treatment of obesity, both pharmacological and surgical”.

Protein diet barsBariatric Choice is the leading online source of the same high-quality bariatric protein diet foods (e.g. hot drinks, protein bars, puddings, etc.) and bariatric vitamins (e.g. vitamin C, calcium, iron, etc.) used by bariatric physicians, bariatric surgeons and professionals — at affordable prices too, e.g. a box of pudding or protein diet bars or diet hot drinks (7 servings) costs USD 9.99 and a bag of cheddar mix (1 serving) costs USD 1.89. And these prices aren’t too much to save a child’s life, is it? :)

Note: If you have any questions concerning the products, contact Bariatric Choice and please also read the shipping information before making a purchase.

The Turtle Talks Hi guys, how do you like this cute little mini poster? A fellow PPP postie, Charles, helped me design it from scratch, and he did it over night! And he was extremely patient with my countless demands of “change the colour” and “change that font type”. I particularly love the picture of the turtle, as well as the simplistic design. I’ve also requested that he sizes the mini poster in such a way that it will fit nicely on your sidebar without breaking your theme. So yeah, you know what to do, don’t you?? *hints*

So who’s this Charles guy, you ask?

Charles maintains a couple of sites, and one of his main sites can be found at http://www.cwhyteforpresident.com. I’m not sure if he’s REALLY running for President, but the “community site”, as he calls it, is a comedy site for people to have a good time, and where people can speak their mind and be able to do whatever they want. And apparently, they aren’t going to censor you or tell you to do anything you don’t want to.

The basic idea of the “comedy site” is for everyone to tell the world about some of the craziest and funniest exploits and adventures that you’ve had. The only catch is your adventures have to be entertaining and comedy-related. Also, if you’re good at editing pictures, and especially skilled in Photoshop, you may want to join Charles’ team :) Checkout their Photoshop Madness and be amazed by what some of their designers can do.

Besides maintaining the comedy site, Charles and his team maintain a forum in which you can advertise your sites/blogs for free (and all you need is an account). And they sell “junk” too (read: amazingly awesome stuff that everyone can use).

Ouh yeah, and remember to vote for Charles Whyte in 2019 *winks*

Malaysia Bloggers forum… because you don’t have to go by the textbooks, and you can learn whatever you want to learn on any specific day. You can go to “school” everyday, or you can go once a week, or once a month OR whenever you needed help, heh. Whenever you have problems you can’t solve by yourself, pop a question, and the teachers will get back to you. Ouh, and by the way, the “teachers” are always in the school, whether you go or not, that’s how dedicated they are.

You have a problem with your sitemap? Go to school. Problem with your sidebars not behaving themselves? Go to school. Problem with your blog not being popular enough? Go to school. Heh.

I joined the MalaysiaBloggers forum not too long ago (in March 2007) to learn about how WordPress functions so that I don’t have to depend on other people to fix my minor blog problems which seemed to happen quite frequently. I asked whether it was possible to import posts from a WordPress blog to another WordPress blog, I enquired about the 3-minute WordPress upgrade because I thought it was the greatest invention EVER, I asked about the Official Comment plugin because I wanted to make my comments appear differently than my readers’ and I cried for help because when Edrei upgraded my WordPress to version 2.2, one of my plugins caused some problems and I couldn’t save the changes after I edited my sidebars.

Cypherhackz RSS buttonAnd of the many members of the MalaysiaBloggers forum, I received the most help and assistance and advice from two bloggers — GeminiGeek and Cypherhackz. Both of them were there when I asked the stupidest questions ever, and both of them were there to offer me invaluable advice and suggestions and tips on how to get my blog to behave like how I wanted it to. Heck, if I stayed long enough, Cypherhackz might even teach me how to design a cute RSS button like the one he has (on the right), soooo cuteee, right?

So yeah, thank you very much, teachers! :D

Psst…

My teacher, Cypherhackz, is holding a contest. Five winners will get to place their links on his blog header for a month or two. How cool is that? Read more about his contest here. Hurry! Contest ends on June 30th!
