This is my first official card from Great Britain. The card shows the rugged outline of the famous castle seen from Calton Hill. It was from Merag < -- if I read her name correctly.

This second card looks very simple but what is written at the back is very valuable. A result of a “learn about words” tag, Kiti taught me 8 Finnish terms. We shall learn together, OK?

I am not sure whether the words should be pronounced as they are spelt, anybody has any idea?

Summer vacation = Kesaloma
Thank you = Kiitos
Excuse me = Anteeksi
Happy Birthday = Hyvaa Syntymapai-vaa
I don’t speak Finnish = Mina en puhu suomea
Congratulations! = Onnittelut!
I love you = Mina rakastan sinua
Weddings = Haat

*whoa* That was difficult.. But I think I am beginning to get the flow of it. As it seems, “mina” means “I” and “sinua” means “you” *winks*

I was cleaning my desk when I found the following postcards, which I received a little more than a year ago, I think..

The first one was from my sister when she was in Melbourne in 2005 to attend my cousin brother Eddy’s graduation ceremony. I would have linked to his blog if not for the mould in his blog since he has kind of abandoned it since December 2005. I don’t know, I haven’t had a chance to ask him why he left it. Anyway, I like the multi-view card – I always like multi-view cards.

The second card was from a friend of mine who went to the States to visit her boyfriend. Twice. How lucky!! The card shows the waterfalls in Cascadilla Gorge, Ithaca, NY.

I haven’t been blog-hopping lately (maybe for the past 2 days?) because I am hunting high and low for scientific companies that will sell me 100 pieces of vacutainer tubes, instead of a carton of 1,000 pieces.. And the fact that tubes containing lithium heparin are not as common as those containing EDTA makes all this hunting more difficult..

And I was wondering, does any of you know any veterinarian? Who has experience handling turtles? Here, in Malaysia?

Kim sent me this multi-view card of Venray in Holland. She describes Holland as “a very small country in Europe.”

Small or not, it sure looks like a nice place to live in!
