Happy April Fool’s Day, my friends..

The origin of the April Fool’s Day, some of the well-known pranks ever pulled by the radio and television stations, game shows and websites can be found on Wikipedia.

Unsurprisingly, there is also a section on the “side-effects of April Fool’s Days” in the said article.

Hence moderation, my friend, is the keyword :)

OK, let me see.. Dr. Chan of BernardChan.net tagged me with this “Narcissistic bloggers” meme and he was “kind enough” to drop me a comment to inform me about it. Now this reminds me of the A - Z meme that I have yet to start working on, but I shall leave that for another time.

Now, if you haven’t been to BernardChan.net, you don’t know what you’re missing out on. Dr. Chan is a doctor — yes, a medical doctor — and he shares with his readers a lot of knowledge and pictures (some are gory, so don’t say I didn’t warn you) you will otherwise never have a chance to see. And you get to learn new words everyday too, like how I learned what “anal fissures” and “sphincters” are.

Anal fissures are breaks in the anal skin caused by passage of hard stools. They are also caused by tight anal sphincters (anus control muscles). The tight sphincter causes blood supply to the skin breaks to be reduced and this prevents proper healing of the anal skin.

- Dr. Chan on anal fissures

OK, enough about anal fissures. Let’s proceed with the MEME! :)

Instructions:

  1. Write a short introduction about how you found “the List” and include a link to the blog that referred you to the List (this shall be MINE).
  2. Copy the ENTIRE List below and add it to your new blog post. To avoid duplicate content and increase the amount of keywords your site can be accessible for, go ahead and change the title of the blog. Just don’t change the links of the blogs.
  3. Take the ‘My Adds’ and move them into the ‘The Originals’ list.
  4. Tag 3 brand new narcissistic bloggers whom you know of, to a new ‘My Adds’.

My Adds:

  1. Kenny Sia < -- do you (SERIOUSLY) think he will do this? Hhahaha...
  2. Yvonne Foong
  3. I cannot think of another one!!

The originals:

Yenjai

May
Simple American
Hannes Johnson

Did you notice this cute little blue button on my sidebar? If you haven’t already heard about this — in fact, I have only just learned about this from Dr Chan :) — it’s a weekly “game” played by a lot of people around the world. It’s FREE to join, FREE to play and it’s a great way of promoting your blog and making new friends :)

OK, so this is how it goes.. Every week, there will be a “theme” posted at the Photo Hunters site and to play along, each participant should post a photo for the weekly theme - it’s THAT simple :) And you can play with or without being added to the blogroll - which means, you can play anytime you’re free, but a lot of other participants will be able to find you if you join the group blogroll :)

So the theme for this coming Saturday (March 24th) is “EMPTY”. It’s really up to you to interpret it and then either (a) look up for a photo you took, or (b) take a new photo and post it on your blog :)

Psst.. By the way, March 24th is also Shutdown Day. So those of you who are intending to participate in both Photo Hunter and Shutdown Day, you may want to blog about your “empty” photo tonight :)
