Anybody wants a CinemaOnline magazine for FREE?

My dear EJ asked the other day whether I knew somebody by the name of “Pelf Yeen”. That fella obviously didn’t click on any of my links because I have a habit of linking up to my sister’s blog. So now you have it, EJ, Pelf Yeen is my sister, and the Meet the Robinsons review that you read the other day was indeed written by her.

Anyway, back to something more relevant to the title *points up*

CinemaOnline, the company in which my sister is undergoing her Industrial Training, is sooo kind to offer TEN copies of the April issue of the magazine. Yes, for FREE.

The CinemaOnline magazine is a monthly publication, and is priced at RM 7.50 each. I’m not very sure whether it is available in all major bookstores, but we have them in Kuala Terengganu! Can you imagine selling a movie-related magazine in Kuala Terengganu, a state without a cineplex? Anyway, this only goes to show that the CinemaOnline magazine is an informative and popular magazine, and you just simply have to have it if you want to win FREE movie passes and sneak previews as well as lots of first-hand news and reviews on the up-coming movies in the country!

So if you’d like to receive a copy of the April issue of CinemaOnline magazine for FREE, this is what you have to do — don’t worry, you don’t have to tell me how much you love me or my sister or CinemaOnline. Neither do you have to write a 200-word article on why you think you deserve a FREE magazine.

All you need to do is to leave me a comment here, and when my sister drops by, she will take down your names and emails and she will then arrange for you to collect the magazine. For your information, the CinemaOnline office is located at Kelana Jaya, and is very near the LRT station :)

And well, though the CEO didn’t say that it is necessary to write a review about it, I’m sure it won’t hurt to do so, right?

And, no, this is NOT a sponsored post :)

Narcissistic bloggers meme

OK, let me see.. Dr. Chan of tagged me with this “Narcissistic bloggers” meme and he was “kind enough” to drop me a comment to inform me about it. Now this reminds me of the A – Z meme that I have yet to start working on, but I shall leave that for another time.

Now, if you haven’t been to, you don’t know what you’re missing out on. Dr. Chan is a doctor — yes, a medical doctor — and he shares with his readers a lot of knowledge and pictures (some are gory, so don’t say I didn’t warn you) you will otherwise never have a chance to see. And you get to learn new words everyday too, like how I learned what “anal fissures” and “sphincters” are.

Anal fissures are breaks in the anal skin caused by passage of hard stools. They are also caused by tight anal sphincters (anus control muscles). The tight sphincter causes blood supply to the skin breaks to be reduced and this prevents proper healing of the anal skin.

– Dr. Chan on anal fissures

OK, enough about anal fissures. Let’s proceed with the MEME! :)

  1. Write a short introduction about how you found “the List” and include a link to the blog that referred you to the List (this shall be MINE).
  2. Copy the ENTIRE List below and add it to your new blog post. To avoid duplicate content and increase the amount of keywords your site can be accessible for, go ahead and change the title of the blog. Just don’t change the links of the blogs.
  3. Take the ‘My Adds’ and move them into the ‘The Originals’ list.
  4. Tag 3 brand new narcissistic bloggers whom you know of, to a new ‘My Adds’.

My Adds:

  1. Kenny Sia < -- do you (SERIOUSLY) think he will do this? Hhahaha...

Of 3D Sharks & the Yellow Man

My cute little sister gave Mum and I two passes to watch 3D Sharks at the IMAX Theater at Berjaya Times Square. And since both the “jakun” mother and sister have never been to the IMAX Theater, both of them (exaggeratedly) jumped at the opportunity *winks*

So in the morning, Mum and I drove from Puchong where we stayed at my cousin’s place to the Bukit Jalil LRT station. I still haven’t gotten used to driving in KL (or any other nearby districts) and I just can’t imagine how my Mum did it. I mean, she learned the routes the hard way, by memorizing which turns to take, after which billboards and road signs. Told you she’s a super Mum :)

We got off the train at the Hang Tuah station and boarded the Monorail from Hang Tuah to Imbi (which we realized — the last time we went to Sungai Wang — was nearer to Berjaya Times Square than the next station, Bukit Bintang). My cousin said that we could actually walk from Hang Tuah station to Imbi station but we were too lazy to walk in the scorching hot sun. So we took the Monorail instead :)

And what happened at the Monorail station was sooo embarrassing.. I read the sign which says that we were supposed to board the train at Platform A, but when a train arrived, Mum and I quickly ran up the stairs to board it. But my instinct told me that THAT wasn’t the right train. So I practically pulled Mum out of the train, and in a frenzy, I asked a Monorail staff who was leading a blind man into the coach whether it was going to Times Square.

He said, “No, you have to get over to Platform A.” *rolls eyes*

That embarrassing episode aside, 3D Sharks was so-so only. The narrator was the hawksbill turtle – and Mum didn’t realize this until we talked about it later. And the producers definitely didn’t know that hawksbill turtles DON’T eat jellyfish. The leatherbacks do, right? Right?! :)

Oh yea, we also saw the DIGI Yellow Man on the street outside Times Square. They must be filming another commercial I guess.. BTW, anybody knows who’s the cute guy?

And then there’s this little boy who was oblivious to his surroundings and didn’t really care how you reacted because he simply went up to the Yellow Man and started “beating” him with his balloons! Soo cute! :)
