I have just finished reading Life and Death in Shanghai by Nien Cheng. The author relived the moments before the Cultural Revolution, when the Red Guards looted her house and imprisoned her and delibrately forced her to confess to being an imperialist spy and how she found out, upon release from the Detention House six and a half years later, that her only daughted had been beaten to death. Powerful.

Isn’t it funny to find how bloggers do NOT update their blogs when you have all the time in the world?! Maybe it’s a way of telling me to get a life OFF the PC, just like what exactly other bloggers are doing. I hate weekends.

Feli got very very excited when the seniors said that they will take them, the juniors, to the beach to see “blue tears” (some luminouscent plankton or blue-green algae, I cannot recall correctly). What I didn’t tell her was that those “blue tears” can be seen all-year-long, and that she will have many many opportunities to see them when the field trips to the islands commence. And I haven’t told her about this place where we can see fireflies yet *winks*
