I realized one day that my “About the Blog” page was very OUTdated, so I had decided to do away with it and put in some new materials here instead. But if you’d still like to read about how this blog came about, you may read it at “The story behind my blog“.
So what are these “new materials” that I’ve got? :)
Seriously, I haven’t thought about it yet, so meanwhile, you’ve got to be contended by admiring the AWARDS that I’ve been, well, awarded :) It’s an achievement, you know, to have other bloggers awarding me with awards and pretty buttons and all.
I don’t know what these awards mean to you, but they do mean a lot to me. For one, these awards mean that I’m not invisible in the blogosphere, and that I’ve been paying attention to things that are happening around me and my blog, and that I’ve been mixing around with the right kind of bloggers (i.e. the award-givers, hhahahhaha). Just kidding..
- The Thinking Blogger Award
The first ever award I’d received was a Thinking Blogger Award. So apparently, I am a “thinking blogger”, and I make people think. The Thinking Blogger Award was started by Ilker @ The Thinking Blog who had decided not to participate in anymore memes in the future. I was awarded the Thinking Blogger Award by The I’mPerfectMom and BernardChan! :vodka:
- Official Successful and Outstanding Blogger (SOB) Award
The second award that I’d received was an SOB award. No, it doesn’t refer to a son-of-a-you-know-what. In fact, it is a Successful and Outstanding Blogger award and is given to any blogger who takes the discussion from the creator’s blog back to their own blogs. In other words, the SOB award goes to anybody who extends the conversation back in their blogs. And the best thing is that, the award doesn’t come in tags. It came from the creator herself, Liz Strauss! :vodka:
- Rockin’ Girl Blogger
The third award, which is funky, I think, is the Rockin Girl Award. It was given to me by Ann @ Luxferi “for being a very generous and selfless blogger who cares a lot about her environment.” Seriously, am I a rockin’ girl? - Charity Blogger Award
The fourth award is the Charity Blogger Award, which is awarded to “those who use blogging to help others and to raise awareness of those in need”. Those who post missing persons posters, charity links, or who are involved in fund raising campaigns, or who make posts about charitable causes. Those who care enough to help others deserve this award” and is awarded to me by Mike @ BlugsWeLuv. - Nice Matters Award
The fifth award is the Nice Matters Award from Rinnah @ It’s all about the spin. The award originates from Genevieve Olsen and is given to “those who are just nice people, good blog friends and those who inspire good feelings and inspiration! Those who care about others, those who are there to lend support or those who are just a positive influence in our blogging world”.
- Community Blogger Award
The sixth award is the Community Blogger Award, which is award to me by Joe @ Intermission At Work and Crystal @ Choc Mint Girl. The Community Blog Award was started by SultanaBlog, and celebrates people who reach out and makes the blogger community a better one.
Perhaps it’s all those campaigning that I’ve done on this blog?
- Readers First Award
Bes @ Reader Appreciation project awarded me with a Readers First Award in October 2007. The award is awarded to bloggers who “exhibited a healthy interest and appreciation towards their readers. Because of such a behavior, many readers have benefited a lot because of the blogger not always viewing other things as being more important than the readers.”
