So, I signed the Hire-Purchase Agreement last week, and apparently, my new car will arrive in 2 weeks. TWO WEEKS! The car is ready for pick up, I guess, but I need to wait for the registration plate, a number I picked myself :)
Boy, I am excited about it! I am excited about the whole I-am-getting-my-own-car feeling, and I am excited about driving an automatic transmission car after driving a manual one for 11 years, and I am excited about owning a car bigger than the one I have been driving in the past 8 years. Seriously.
GOSH, did I tell you I am very excited about it all? :)

That is awesome! Getting a new car is one of the bestest things in the whole world! Congratulations :)
Yup, Laurie! That’s definitely the one of the bestest feelings!
Congratulations on tying yourself to the bank for the next X years ;)
Hee hee hee!
I was surprised at the number of documents the bank officer made me sign. I felt like I was “selling myself”!!
Getting a new car can be very exciting, congrats :)
Personally, I am the opposite about the transmission, I have an automatic car, but love an excuse to drive my manual truck.
If you don’t mind me asking, what kind of car is it?
I looked back over your pasts posts and didn’t see one on it, although I now have an insatiable urge for a hot fudge sunday ;)
You just wait and see, Steve. I will blog about the car I’m selling, and the one I’m getting :)
Enjoy, and thanks for doing your part for the world economy :-)
Congrats. I am taking the driving test in 2 weeks. LOL…
Good luck in your driving test, Angel!
Did you put my link anywhere in your blog? I received 16 incoming hits from your blog yet I can’t find any. -__-ll
Can’t wait to see your new car!
Congratulations on your new car. I am however surprised that you have chosen an automatic gear shift, as you are very ecology conscious. An automatic consumes more fuel than a corresponding manual shift car. In any case, I am sure that you would have given careful consideration to this aspect and may be driving conditions in your locality makes it necessary. I would still be curious to know why you chose it.
You are right, Nicole. I thought a manual transmission vehicle consumed less fuel too but yes, I have also taken that into consideration :) Will blog about that soon. Real soon :)
Ooo… new car = new baby! Can’t wait to hear more about it/him/her. Heh. :D
