I don’t celebrate it, but I used to when I was at school. About 1/3 of the school were boarders from Hong Kong, China and Japan and on Chinese New Year we were guaranteed the Chinese menu at lunch, which is the only one that was nice :)

I spent my CNY in Sandakan. Had an open house on the first day. Attended a reunion cocktail session on the second night…with a whole bunch of my schoolmates, it’s been 10 years since we graduated from secondary school. Great fun!

Visited more houses, talked to more friends. Ate a lot. :)
