To the housemate who took the trash out a few days ago:
Thank you for remembering that I don’t live in this house by myself. Thank you for doing your part in keeping the house clean :)

To the housemate who broke our letterbox:
I hope you have the sense of responsibility to replace the letterbox that your broke, and not just leave the broken thing hanging on our gate, and pretend that you don’t know anything about it. I know you don’t receive mails, but I need the letterbox because our electricity, water and phone bills come every month.

To the housemate who replaced the cover of my badminton racket:
Thank you for replacing the cover that you have lost. And I hope you have learned a lesson — that you should not keep quiet if you have lost somebody’s property. I wasn’t angry because you lost it. I was mad because you lost it, and you didn’t have the courtesy to tell me about it.

There’s a reason I don’t use names in this post. If you know my housemates, please respect their privacy. Thanks.

Housemate #2&3 have serious responsibility issues ><

  2. evelyn says:

I reckon that your housemates do read your blog, and with that – reckoning also that the responsibility issues will be responsibly addressed by the responsible parties…

Cheers and a happy Chinese New Year season!

  3. pelfy says:

Do you want to come back and stay with me? At least you only have one sister to bear with. And I’ll promise to keep the room tidy and free of dust. And we will have Mummy to cook for us…
    Ah…. Home sweet home (=

  4. pelf says:

Housemate #1 and #3 is the same person.
    I don’t know who Housemate #2 is.
And no, I don’t think any of my housemates know that I am a blogger :)

  5. Nicole Price says:

I would love to have you as my housemate.

  6. LOL… The familiar “housemate” issue…

Crisis arises when different people have different expectations regarding certain matters. It’s easier to meet up everyday than to stay together coz this will be the time both your good and ugly sides being exposed to your dear housemates.

Well, let’s hope your housemates know you are a blogger, read this post, and eventually learn that their actions have given you lots of inconvenience.

    Good luck to you! =)

  7. And this is absolutely why I pay a little more to have my own full space. It’s not a house, it’s an apartment, but it’s all mine. I don’t think I could ever have roommate. Me and my lifelong friend were toying with the idea, but then I thought the better of it. No way. I am too territorial, too set in my ways, and I hate to compromise those things. The only people I share the house with are my son and my Kitty. I am willing to compromise for them, and only them. Hopefully things work out Pelf. Hugs…

  8. You feel a whole lot better after writing that, didn’t you? :P

  9. littlebro says:

    Ahhh…the housemate issue.

Did you missed me, dai kah cher? I would love to be your housemate again :P

On a different note, Happy Chinese New Year!

  10. By living with, or next to someone, you can learn a lot about how truly easy to get along with you are. I’ve had roomates int he past, and those times truly tested my soul :-)

I’m glad to know that at least one of your housemates makes your life better.
