I was just telling my sister the other day that I have only published 4 posts in October because I am too busy to write a decent post.
If you haven’t noticed it, I am involved with Pink for October. I was “recruited” to try to get more people involved in the National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and I thought contests would be one of the easiest ways to get people involved in something. So I started sourcing for sponsors and then I had to think about the kind of contests to hold. Seven of the eight a la photo hunt contests are closed, but all four of the “bonus contests” will be open until Oct 30th. So if you have some time, and would like to try your luck at winning any of these prizes, do check these contests out:
- Share your story and win a prize
- Design and win
- Breast cancer is …
- What have you done in conjunction with Pink for October?
I have also been very busy with my new job, which I love to bits. I’ve got a very fancy position — Research and Public Outreach Officer — that I think scares people. But basically, my job description covers the seas and the mountains, as they say. From tracking river terrapins in the Setiu River to handling the Turtle/Nest Adoptions that come in to assisting my Advisor in organizing our Annual TRRG Reunion on Nov 5th @ Aquaria KLCC, to promoting our Say “No” to turtle eggs campaign, to designing a database form using Microsoft Access (I have only done this once before).
I don’t know.. I hope I will have more time to blog after October, but my friend David @ PlanetThoughts is planning some kind of say no to plastic bag campaign, which I am also very interested in, but we shall see.
So what have YOU been doing in October? Did you go Pink for October? Did you participate in any of the P4O contests? Have you signed our Say “No” to turtle eggs petition? And if you’re a former TRRG volunteer, will you be attending our Annual Reunion?

Hi Pelf, you certainly aren’t alone.
It’s great that you’ve been doing things to help raise cancer awareness. It’s common for bloggers to get too busy to blog, what matters most is that you are enjoying the thing you do which replaces this time.
It seems like you are happy so far ;)
I now what you mean about being so busy… but that is just how life is sometimes. Keep it up!
Too busy to blog! There’s always time to blog, whether you have to stay up all night, or wake up early. Make it happen!
