Pink for October

Alright, I have just kick-started the first of 12 contests that will be held on the official Pink for October website.

Head on over now and check it out. Better still, subscribe to the Pink for October feed to avoid missing any updates and contests :D

So far, a total of 352 sites/blogs have signed up to go pink in support of the Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Are you one of them?

  1. Nicole Price says:

Yes, I am one of them.

  2. kouji says:

i haven’t yet signed up, but i’ll check it out.

  3. Scott says:

    Hi Pelf

Not sure if my other comment got lost (on other post about this topic)…anyway, I just signed up and spent time today turning my blog pink.

Thanks to your site I would have never thought of signing up :)

    Cheers

  4. zeroimpact says:

I still remember that one day when i was walking around lot 10 and i saw this at the entrance. I did not even think and just signed the paper and put on a pink ribbon.
We can change anything we put our heart to
    :)

  5. kouji says:

me and my pink blog. :)

  6. That is a large amount of sites to sign up in support of the event in such a short period of time. A movement that has a purposeful goal grows quicker than one with no real intent.

  7. teng says:

Though I’ve never been keen on pink, but this Oct proves otherwise. I’m all PINK!!! Bloggers & readers can’t help but notice the change for a better cause!

I guess, I did spread the word?!

  8. pelf says:

Going pink is probably enough to create awareness but to try to make a difference, there is so much more that one can do. Read up on breast cancer. Blog about it. Share tips and experiences. Make a donation. Participate in walks for a cure.

Spreading the word is just the first step. What is more important is what happens after that.
