Does anybody know of a frequent flyer program that allows you to accumulate flyer miles regardless of the airlines you’re flying?
I’d be flying about 30,000 miles in the coming months and I thought it would be good to accumulate those miles, huh? Who knows, I might be able to earn myself an air ticket to somewhere, sometime

If you’re using MAS, oh man, those 30k miles can (I think) get you an upgrade to business class!

Firstly, I think the Airbus is a splendid piece of aeronautic engineering and that photo is superb…shot like a pro.
I only know of MAS to offer a frequent flyer program in Malaysia as what Tine has mentioned.

Jie, you may not know this: I’m a MAS Enrich member. Haha.. but i don’t think I have enough points to exchange an economy ticket to Kuala Terengganu. Wuakaka.. How sad!

Thanks for the link, Plastron, but what I’m look for is a program that allows us to accumulate air miles even if we used different airlines.
The thing is, Tine, my 30K air miles is the total miles that I will be flying with United and MAS. In fact, I will only be flying a little over 4K miles with MAS. That means I’ll lose the other 26K miles unless I enrol into United’s Mileage Plus program.
By the way, how many frequent flyer program does one need anyway? LOL.
There isn’t one single alliance where you can collect points across any airlines. It just doesn’t exist.
MAS has some alliances, too bad United isn’t one of them. Depending on your ticket class, you might not actually get the actual mileage you’ve flown. Some discount tickets don’t even get points, while some get less than 100%.
Singapore Airlines is part of the famous Star Alliance, so if you fly Thai Airways, another member, you get points on the SG Krisflyer as well.
I have at least 4 frequent flyer membership, and have gold status in 2 of them currently.
Try the credit cards? If I’m not wrong, Citibank/one of the more popular CC company has a policy where you can accumulate Frequent Flyer miles. Can’t remember which one though, sorry.
