In the next year or two we will probbly see a few larger cars that get this kind of mileage. That will really help the sales take off. I often drive a Scion XA. It gets between 32 and 38 mpg whenever we check. But the official mpg average for the car is 30 mpg. Interesting as usually the "official" ratings are higher than the actual. The other nice thing about this car is that it costs so little new. We have had it for almost two years now.
