Alright.

Terengganu has been officially declared the Waterfront Heritage City :vodka: this morning but all that I could “visualize” was these:

Seaside

Fishermen's boats

Setiu river

Terrapin nesting bank

What does Terengganu remind you of? :D

KT has some decent waterfronts, and isn’t that bad a town (not a city in my opinion, just like PJ isn’t a city) … but all that KT reminds me of is how difficult it is to find a Maybank ATM ! Me and GF couldn’t find one to safe our lifes !

Plus how I couldn’t find a KFC nor a Pizza Hut from my previous trip.

If it’s really a city … I expect better maps, better amenities … and that they stop trying to name cities with superflous tag lines …

Terengganu’s a loveable place - initially with minimal development and lack of influence from other vastly developing cities. Most people of T’ganu origin are down-to-earth and easy to deal with. Cut off the much-complained facilities, it is one of the most cosy places where I felt a glimpse of the past hovers my present. I like it just the way it were before. Nowadays, I felt that I don’t recognise this place any more.

Know the people, know the place & you’ll note the value it holds.

By the way, I’m from KL.

Terengganu reminds me of too many things, but the major ones are:

Beaches. Simplicity. Silence. Sea. Motorbike. UMT. Joy. Happiness. Turtles (& indirectly, you! )

I love being near the beach side especially during the sunset. It really relaxing to watch the sunset. I never was able to see a proper sunset. Except once when I was travelling into the city and I was on a Van at the time. Its really nice.
