I realized my blog was slowly turning into a bulletin board of some sort with all kinds of announcements all over the place. First it was the up-coming which I have earlier on signed up for and which I am currently working very hard on. I’ve got some very wonderful guest bloggers who cooked up quite a storm over at The Giving Hands. So far we’ve covered various topics on the environment and lots of tips to save energy and money and what-nots. So if you haven’t gone over, you don’t know what you’re missing :cute:

Then it’s the campaign which I am also trying to pick up here on chenpn.com. I do not personally know any breast cancer patients or survivors *thank God* but I figured I could help spread awareness on the deadly-but-preventable disease, so here I am, publishing about two breast cancer-related posts every week.

And one of my best girlfriends is getting married on Oct 15th (yes, on Blog Action Day), which means that I won’t be around from October 13th to 16th, but I am in the middle of preparing to auto-publish some posts while I am away. I don’t want my blog to rot :D

At the same time, I am also working on my far-from-finished Master’s thesis. I realized I have been spending a lot of time on my reviews I really should get going, so at the moment I am putting together my results. Hopefully I am able to get down to discussing my project soon because I really needed to get this off my chest ASAP. Plus, I’ve got a 4-month contract job which will begin mid-November!

But of course, I am also spending a lot of quality time with J at the library because we figured we could do with motivating each other. He was away for about 5 months for a contract job in another state and we only saw each other about once a month. And now that he’s back, we’re making sure we see each other more frequently before he packs his bags and pursue his Ph.D.

So yeah, that basically sums up the things that I am currently up to, which is quite a handful, I would say.

So how have YOU been?

    Hey Pelf,
It’s nice to read more about you. You must like school more than I did. A bachelors degree was about all the school I could handle.

You sound like you have everything well-balanced and down pat. What with spending quality time and also making sure your blog goes on in your absence. Have a great holiday, girl!

  4. Opal Tribble says:

You are one busy lady and that is great. If you aren’t try to make time for yourself. It can be so easy getting wrapped into our work and there are so many causes that need our attention that at times I forget about the “me time” :-)

I had a cousin who had breast cancer unfortunately in her case she did not make it. She was young only 25 when she passed away. I still miss her.

I’ve been really busy too, I did a 48 hour shift at work the other day and this Saturday will be my first day off in 3 weeks (including weekends!) and I’ll be deep into the CommentLuv code with a constant supply of coffee (yey!)

have a nice wedding, will you catch the bouquet? (do you have that tradition?)

  9. pelf says:

Opal: Thanks for the reminder for having some “me time” :)

Jason: OK, I am now up for hire! Anybody wants to hire a forum moderator? Heehee..

Andy: You’ve been BUSY too, I see.. And with all the coding and all. Ahh.. The sacrifice a plugin developer makes :vodka:

  10. littlebro says:

seems like you’re doing well over there, dai kah cher!

for myself, I’ll most probably be rotting & enjoy the Raya ‘so-called-long’ holidays at home, and purely at home itself. Bored with the crowd, bored with the queues (although there will be ‘better’ traffic during the next few days..).

Gosh, I miss Terengganu so much. Help me!
