Two days ago I blogged about an all-star plugin called   that displays the title of the commentator’s latest blog post under his comment. Hence, with every comment left on my blog, you will actually be leaving TWO links back to your own blog — one of which is a deep link.

Another thing is that I have just installed another plugin which will remove all “nofollow” tags on the comments, which means that you will be getting some link juice each time you leave me a comment. Now, how does *that* sound?

I am currently using   plugin, which allows a certain degree of customization, for example, the number of comments a commentator must leave before the “nofollow” tag is stripped off the URL as well as from the content of the comment. I love this feature because it allows me to determine who gets the link juice (and who doesn’t) Oh, and by the way, the “nofollow” tag will only be stripped off real names, and “SEO Marketing” is NOT a name in my dictionary

Visit the official plugin page for more details.

Together with the   plugin, I am actually using THREE plugins on this blog to reward my loyal readers. Told you I’m a nice person! :vodka:

You Comment, I Follow!Edited (19 October 2007):
I am now using Link Love to remove the “nofollow” tags because Lucia’s Linky Love refused to work on my blog!

Joyce, I have just sent you an email with instructions to prolong the timeout time, hopefully that works for you :)

I think we have hit the same string. I posted another plugin which is used by me to remove “nofollow” tags. The name is different but I guess the function is more or less the same.

Hello, Pelf… you have started some comment commentary activity, on which I am commenting.

You are doing quite well with all your activities… and “only” a graduate student! Brava.

  11. pelf

Yeah, David, and I am “only” a grad student :)
Imagine what I can do once I graduate, LOL.

It’s glad to see you too removed the “NOFOLLOW” tag. IMO, it only penalizes the good people. I removed mine and I haven’t seen an increase in a spam.

But to be safe, I also installed Peter’s Custom Anti-Spam plugin, that displays a word they need to type before their comment is added. Might want to keep it in mind if you notice an increase of spammers.

Hm, that sounds interesting. Too bad that I do not have a blog yet but I hope I get to it soon. I definately will get those plugins to worship good posts. Not sure how many posts are sufficient to ensure no spam comments.

I also just activated the dofollow plugin in my new “music video” blog. However, the plugin you are using has a lot more features. I will be switching over to the one you are using soon.

It is good to see how generous you are at sharing the link love. I guess at the end of the day, you will also have an increase in readership and commentators, which is good.

Let me post a comment here too since i love you! Hahaha…

That sounds like a good comment plugin. All blogs should install it!

I have been “dofollow” for months. I haven’t had many spammers. I do get the occasional though, of course.

I installed the CommentLuv plugin yesterday.

I don’t have the top commentator plugin, so you are nicer than me. It looked funny on my site, so I couldn’t do it.

You have a nice site. The pink fits it well.
