Did you realize that each time you leave me a comment, a link to your latest blog post will also appear along with your comment (see picture below)? This is possible with a plugin that I have recently added to my list of “must haves”. It’s aptly called Commentluv by Andy Bailey.

Commentluv

Basically, what the plugin does is that it collects the commentator’s feeds and publishes the title of the last blog post under the commentator’s comment. I personally think that it’s a very simple and effective method to give your commentators some link love for leaving you a comment. I’m sure this plugin works best when the “nofollow” is removed from the comments but I haven’t done that yet :yuck:

So if you’re impressed already, go ahead and download  Commentluv  and start spreading the love around!

And to all my readers who read my feeds in a feedreader, come on over! I have given you another reason to click through and leave me a comment :-)

Good little plugin but since switching to Wordpress, I found myself too many things to do, especially on these plugins after my upgrade… :dead:

Yes- it is a good way to get more comment, but I would worry that you will lose some new visitors. So I am a little worry about that :frown:

Hey! Thanks for sharing this plugin. How come I missed it all these while. I think it is a very thoughtful plugin and helps to build interest in each other’s blogs (unless the commenter is not a blogger).

The answer to your question from the reply using email: It gives them more links to click out of your blog - thats why. But isn’t that the whole point?

Yep and thats why I do not want to use it. I think using the top commentators and “dofollow” plugin is enough
