What are you going to do on Clean Up The World weekend?

Did you know that the Clean Up The World weekend is celebrated globally on the third weekend in September every year?
Clean Up the World encourages volunteers to organize a Clean Up event on, or around, Clean Up the World Weekend and to think of ways to engage the community in long-term environmental initiatives.
In other words, it is a community based environmental program that inspires and empowers individuals and communities from every corner of the globe to clean up, fix up and conserve their environment. Now in its 15th year, Clean Up the World, held in conjunction with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), mobilises over 35 million volunteers from more than 120 countries annually, making it one of the largest community-based environmental campaigns in the world.
So if you haven’t already guessed it, yeah, I’m going to Redang Island for a Land and Underwater Clean Up jointly organized by Berjaya Redang Beach Resort and Sony Malaysia. There will be a land and underwater clean up, talks on turtle conservation by my Supervisor, a visit to the turtle sanctuary at Chagar Hutang and a photography competition.
Anyway, what are YOU going to do this weekend? Perhaps clean the cobwebs underneath your bed? Or clean your wardrobe? Or your garden/backyard?

I’m too ashamed to report what I did last weekend with regards to wardrobe cleaning… But I did do some housecleaning today!
