How often do you leave comments whenever you blog-hop? And how often do you return to those blogs to follow up on the conversation after you’ve left your comment or suggestion or question? Do you use the “Notify me of new comments” option? If you do, are you ever annoyed by the amount of irrelevant emails you receive?

Co.mmentsNow, helps you stay on top of the conversation by keeping you updated of new comments. It is very user-friendly, and all you need to do is bookmark, track and follow. Registration is hassle-free, and you do not need to download and install anything at all.

  1. BOOKMARK

    Bookmark

Before you bookmark any page, you may have to drag and drop the co.mments bookmarklet to your toolbar to enable easy bookmarking with just ONE click. Once you have your bookmarklet on your toolbar, it only takes ONE click to bookmark any page that you are intending to track and follow. And the best thing is that it takes only a few seconds!

  2. TRACK AND FOLLOW

    Track comments

You may track and follow your comments from the Co.mments page, or you may subscribe to your own feed so that you will be notified whenever somebody responds to a conversation that you are a part of.

If for any reasons, you do not want to place the co.mments bookmarklet onto your toolbar, you may always copy and paste the URL of the particular page onto your tracking page. It works just the same.

    Remove and Recheck

If you are no longer following a particular conversation, or if your concern is already addressed, you may REMOVE it. Similarly, you may also click the RECHECK button to check for new replies on your tracking page.

There may be other more popular comment-tracking application but I personally find Co.mments easy to use and maintain.

And in case you are wondering, no, this isn’t a sponsored post

I am using Google Reader as my feed reader. If I leave a comment in a blog that I subscribed to, I’ll just “star” the post in G.R. If I leave a comment in a blog in which I don’t subscribe, I will drag to create a shortcut to the post into a folder in my toolbar. Not a very good way to track my comments but it gets the work done. I may have a look at co.mments. Thanks.

This sounds like a nifty tool I could use. Thanks!

“you do not need to download and install anything at all.”

This is what got my attention.
    Will try this up.

I’ve just signed up for an account. Hopefully this is the most ideal software to help me track my comments. Thanks for introducing it. Heehee

TenthOfMarch: Yeah, do try it out and see if it is simple enough for you :) I understand how we do not like downloading anything these days :)

Giddy Tiger: The best thing is that it isn’t even a tool. It’s web-based, and you don’t need to download anything. The most you need to do is to drag the co.mments bookmarklet onto your toolbar, and you’re good to go! :D

littlebro: That was what got my attention too, LOL.

Mei Mei: I hope you find it useful!

I use a folder called “Temp” into which I save such posts – the idea being that I could go back to the folder at my leisure to find any updates. The good thing is that I can save not only blog posts, but any other page I want to track updates for.

Thanks for sharing this method though, I’ll check it out if/when I’m inconvenienced by my method.

A much needed tool. I’m always completely lost when it comes to tracking comments.

Reading my feeds and this post is what I need most ! Sadly the site seem to be down.

  9. Co.mments does work well, I’ve used it before… I just need to develop the habit of tracking every comment since it doesn’t do it automatically for you.

  10. It sounds interesting I might give it a try.
