Some st*pid people issued license for a sand-mining operation right on the very beach that the river terrapins lay eggs. So now our river terrapins will become extinct faster since their nesting beach is being destroyed so rapidly. Also highlighted in the press.
I’ve never won any contests in my life, at least none that I can ever recall, regardless of whether those contests were run online or off-line. But of course that changed last week, when I accidentally chanced upon skeet’s weekly Tuesday Teaser picture in my Bloglines. It’s sooo true that if you know what it is, you know, and if you don’t, no matter how long you spend staring at it, the answer won’t come by 
I knew it was a part of a sewing machine, but because we learned about sewing machines in school in Malay, I didn’t know what it was called in English. Plus, the last time I ever used the sewing machine was in 1998! So instead of telling skeet what that was, I described it.
And VOILA! I was correct! 
And my prize was a write-up with a couple of link loves from skeet, and my name would be entered into the gift card drawing at the end of the month.
Lo and behold, guys! My luck is changing!

Congratulations! I don’t think I’ve ever seen the inside of a sewing machine, so I would never have gotten that answer.
That would be a bobbin case. I started sewing when I was about eight. In my twenties I participated in a few local fashion shows. I want to get back into designing this year. I took a break after my daughter was born.
That’s a shame about the river terrapins. :-(

I’m sorry to say this, I think those people are just brainless issuing licenses like that. I’m sure they could work to a compromisation if they just sit down and take the time to work it through. Terrapins and development can exist hand in hand. It just saddens me this country is blessed with so many animals and yet we never take the time to appreciate it.
