There’s one more mass blogging effort I’d like to highlight today, the campaign, which will be held on 27 September 2007. The Stop Abuse campaign is a part of “Blogging for a Great Cause Challenge”.

Stop Abuse - 27 September 2007

To participate, all you need to do is to publish a blog post about putting an end to some sort of abuse (and yes, you decide what kind of abuse to blog about). You may blog about stopping abuse against turtles (OK, animals), children, women, or anything you can think of, literally! :D

So what do you get in return for your participation??

  • You will receive a link to your blog post from the Blogcatalog blog when they list everyone who participated. You need to login to leave a comment so that BlogCatalog is aware of your participation, I think (I’m not a member, I’m not so sure about this).
  • You get to use your blog for an important cause. Yes, this is important! Don’t just make money with your blog, do something for a cause, you hear me, Wuching??!
  • You get to create blogging history. Oooo la la.. Cheers :vodka:
  1. Yvonne Foong says:

Awww…. I used to do this in 2005. Brings back memories ler. I’d blog about abuse of human rights for patients in Malaysia. La La La… in your face, doctors! :cute: But would have to do research on the exact law statue to quote. No resources la….

  2. Helen says:

I’m a child abuse therapist, so I will definitely have a lot to say in regards to this. I’m gonna totally join in on this. :)

  3. This sure is a great cause to blog about. I think I’ll hop on board.

  4. zeroimpact says:

Yes, blog for a cause and for a good cause
    :)
Must check it out and see what I can cook up

  5. pelf says:

Yvonne: I didn’t know about the existence of such a campaign in 2005. But then I only started blogging in Oct 2005 :)

Helen: You’re a child abuse therapist? That’s cool

Judith: You’d better do because it’s not everyday that we bloggers get to sit together and think along the same line!

zeroimpact: Yes, it’s for a very good cause, and yes, you should be able to think of something, don’t worry. If you needed some ideas, read the papers (!!!) :grumpy:

  6. rinnah says:

Another worthy cause. Where do you find these things, pelf?
Will go take a look at it too. :cute:

  7. Yea, Pelf can i write about patient abuse? apparently I realise some heartless doctors scare the hell out of some cancer patients, making them look so hopeless.
