No, it’s NOT son-of-a-you-know-what. SOB stands for Successful and Outstanding Bloggers and is awarded by Liz Strauss to bloggers “who took the discussions back to their blogs”.
The idea was that anyone who took the discussion back to their blog would let me know. Then I would give that blog recognition on Successful-Blog for extending the conversation into the blogosphere — making the community larger, the dialogue bigger, all of us smarter, better and our businesses stronger. Most folks forgot the part about letting me know. So I kept watch and found out on my own.

I don’t know what she was referring to as “businesses” but I am truly honoured by the gesture and the award because I wasn’t expecting anything close to that from somebody I look so highly upon when it comes to writing and blogging. I mean, it’s really like watching your famous singer/band performing live in a concert and you don’t expect to be acknowledged because as cliche as it sounds, you are only one in a couple of thousand fans!
In fact, I am learning how to write and how to blog and how to keep my existing readers and it just happened that I stumbled upon Liz’s Successful and Outstanding Blog not too long ago and I was hooked!
