Malaysia Bloggers forum… because you don’t have to go by the textbooks, and you can learn whatever you want to learn on any specific day. You can go to “school” everyday, or you can go once a week, or once a month OR whenever you needed help, heh. Whenever you have problems you can’t solve by yourself, pop a question, and the teachers will get back to you. Ouh, and by the way, the “teachers” are always in the school, whether you go or not, that’s how dedicated they are.

You have a problem with your sitemap? Go to school. Problem with your sidebars not behaving themselves? Go to school. Problem with your blog not being popular enough? Go to school. Heh.

I joined the MalaysiaBloggers forum not too long ago (in March 2007) to learn about how WordPress functions so that I don’t have to depend on other people to fix my minor blog problems which seemed to happen quite frequently. I asked whether it was possible to import posts from a WordPress blog to another WordPress blog, I enquired about the 3-minute WordPress upgrade because I thought it was the greatest invention EVER, I asked about the Official Comment plugin because I wanted to make my comments appear differently than my readers’ and I cried for help because when Edrei upgraded my WordPress to version 2.2, one of my plugins caused some problems and I couldn’t save the changes after I edited my sidebars.

Cypherhackz RSS buttonAnd of the many members of the MalaysiaBloggers forum, I received the most help and assistance and advice from two bloggers — GeminiGeek and Cypherhackz. Both of them were there when I asked the stupidest questions ever, and both of them were there to offer me invaluable advice and suggestions and tips on how to get my blog to behave like how I wanted it to. Heck, if I stayed long enough, Cypherhackz might even teach me how to design a cute RSS button like the one he has (on the right), soooo cuteee, right?

So yeah, thank you very much, teachers! :D

Psst…

My teacher, Cypherhackz, is holding a contest. Five winners will get to place their links on his blog header for a month or two. How cool is that? Read more about his contest here. Hurry! Contest ends on June 30th!
