Psst…

It’s my favourite blogger, Mervie’s birthday tomorrow! Go wish him Happy Burfday, OK?

I am not obsessed with shoes. In fact, I’ve never had any more than three pairs of perfectly-functional shoes at any one time. And as simplistic as it sounds, I need only three pairs — a pair of BATA slippers, a pair of open-toed sandals and a pair of leather shoes — and I’m good to go. Anywhere :)

But when I went shopping recently — was it during Chinese New Year? I can’t remember — I spotted this pair of Carlo Rino heels and I was literally *staring* at it. I mean, it was expensive alright, and though it was on sale I couldn’t bring myself to buying such as expensive pair of heels (when I was younger, I cried when my aunt insisted on buying me a pair of sport shoes!).

So I did!

Carlo Rino heels Check out the elaborate heels (by my standards)! I think it’s about, what, 3 inches high? And I don’t normally buy heels higher than an inch because I think I’m tall enough, and I don’t need to be reminded that I’m tall. And trust me, being tall does NOTHING except making me look thinner than I already am, and I hate comments that “You are too thin” thrown at me. Ouh well, this will be for another day :)

Wow, haven’t stopped by here for ages! Nice shoes! Not really my personal style but I just bought a pair of shoes for myself (and blogged about it too :P), something I wouldn’t usually do either, so snap for that! :)

  2. Becca says:

Awesome shoes! I love the colours and patterns, really stunning without being ‘in your face’. You have great taste my friend. :D

The most expensive shoes I’ve ever bought are a bronze-y gold with a golden snake running down each of them. My mom also took a look then said it was okay to get them, except she then bought herself the same ones in black. :p

  3. Daisy says:

Those shoes are fabulous! I love them.

  4. pelf says:

Kat: I think you like something simple and elegant, don’t you?? :)

Becca: Though we’ve already grown up, it’s surprising that we still yearn for Mum’s “approval” for getting something expensive! :D

    Daisy: Thank you :)

  5. moz says:

Gosh … I have 3 pairs of shoes as well … casual, sports and work.

  6. pat says:

Oh – what gorgeous shoes!! I don’t “dress up” very often but would love something like these for a special occasion.

    Happy Weekend!

  7. Jenny A. says:

I like this pair of shoes! Very nice for the hunt!

  8. Whoa! Those shoes are gorgeous. I would definitely wear them.

  9. Drew says:

What an intricate design. Great photo for the hunt.

  10. Bernard says:

    Woot! Those ARE beautiful shoes.
