Psst.. Wanna win RM 10K just by taking pictures?

The Terengganu State Government launched a photography competition called “Wajah-wajah Terengganu” (literally translated as “Faces of Terengganu”) and they’re offering very attractive prizes:

1st Prize — 1 x RM 10,000 + Plaque/Certificate
2nd Prize — 1 x RM 5,000 + Plaque/Certificate
3rd Prize — 1 x RM 3,000 + Plaque/Certificate
Consolation Prizes — 10 x RM 500 + Plaque/Certificate

Those of you who have big-a$$ DSLRs, what are you waiting for? Hurry up! Click here to download the brochure (report broken link). The competition deadline is 31st July 2007.

P/S: Don’t ask me why they will only give either a plaque or a certificate. I have no idea.

P/S/S: Have you heard? Kuala Terengganu will be elevated to a city next year. Why am I not excited?

Er … only 4 Maybank ATMs and can become city ar ?

You can use my DSLR (not big A$$) and take part if you like :)

  2. Silly Pat

Shouldn’t it be Plaque and not Plague (as in the disease?)

Moz: Naah.. How can I use your DSLR to take part. Moreover, with my skills… AARRGHH..

Pat: I’ve checked the dictionary, and both plague and plaque mean the same thing — the disease. But when I checked “plaque of appreciation”, I found what I meant, so yeah, thanks for pointing it out! :)

No cinema, no disco, no G2000 and NO McD also can be a city? Hmmp!
But no worries la, Melaka with ONLY one cinema also can be a city, I am sure KT can do well too! Hidup KT!!
    *faints*

Penang is still not a city in the books. Hey waitaminute.. wasn’t it the first city in Malaysia…? Given the status by the British a long time ago. ;-)

“Plague” is a specific infectious disease. A “plaque” in medicine is a hard, thickened although flat area … it’s just a description of a lesion, not the name of a disease.

A plaque that you get for good work is the same.. it’s a thick, hard and flat.

    Mei Mei: “Hidup KT”??!! *faints*

Bernard: I was thinking about the same thing, I mean, Penang is so much more advance than KT in so many aspects, but it isn’t declared a city yet.

Ouh, and thanks for the explanations, saves me lots of time reading the Google search results, hahha :)
