Some people just LOOOVE to do st*pid things. Or perhaps they don’t realize that? I am sooo depressed now.
New love-our-river campaign
JOHOR BARU: The 15-year-old “Love Our River” campaign has been declared a failure but there are plans to launch a new RM 10mil campaign to educate the public about protecting rivers in the country.
Natural Resources and Environment Minister said that details on the programme were still being worked out.
He said that Prime Minister would launch the campaign sometime in June.
“The old campaign was a failure because most people were too busy loving the riverbanks by landscaping and beautifying them,” he said.

See.. When things don’t work out the way some people wanted, they just scrap it and start anew. With a new ministry, a new minister, a new budget, a new campaign and with new ideas. New ideas aren’t a bad thing after all, but spending a whooping RM 10 million in a new Save Our Rivers campaign, in my opinion, is bad. Bad for our economy. Very bad.
This is what the government is teaching our younger generations, you watch out.. “If it doesn’t work, declare it a failure, then trash it. Get a spanking new one. Repeat cycle.”
And I’ve just read another piece of news in The Star today which says that the company that is supposed to keep our water clean IS the biggest polluter of our rivers.
There. Go figure.

Yea…. I couldn’t agree more. *sigh*
Well, it’s Malaysia what…. no surprise if that 10 million ringgit gets washed down the river as pollution.
Sincerely, I don’t know what to say about our country anymore. Reading the papers makes me laugh at the tragicomic words and actions of our politicians… and it’s not just the environment (for which we are priming ourselves for some serious ecological disasters [note the plural]).
Cindy: This is one of those I’m-not-proud-of-my-own-country moments, huh?
Dreamer: Did you coin that “tragicomic” word? So KENG!
When I read this, I was thinking, ‘Hmmm…Pelf sure sakit hati.’ Sure enough, I was right!
Yvy: Beware, you are beginning to “function” like the worm in my stomach!!
If they are not “st*pid” then they wouldn’t be politicians. They would be scientists and engineers. Good example: Have you heard of S*m* V**lu speaking properly when MRR2 or some school ceiling went wrong?
Well, no budget, no new project, no development, no working opportunity, no bribery, no economic progress, no publicity to the world.
This is their mindset: words speak louder than action.
Well, at least you know M’sia is up to something to show the world again. LOL.
ColourfulWorld: Hahha, yes! You rock! Scientists are smart
You rock even more!
We also have trouble with Turkish ones:) But politicians act weird sometimes.
Green: I guess politicians are like that, no matter where you stay?
