People always say, “You are what you eat” but how much of this “mantra” do you really believe in? And how many of you actually eat according to the food pyramid?

  • Eat lots of bread, cereal, pasta, fruits and vegetables;
  • Limit your fat intake of meat, fish, eggs, cheese and yogurts;
  • Avoid eating fatty, oily and sweet foods.

Either way, I found this informative article on a new health site, and I thought some of you might benefit from it — Yvy, you hear me? *smiles*

The article, Eating through time, provides useful eating tips throughout our life — from pre-adolescence to adolescence to adulthood to the golden years as well as some tips on how to prevent premature aging.

For example, if you’re trying to conceive, try take folic acid supplements for three months and limit or exclude alcohol. For a healthy pregnancy, one should indulge in vegetables, fruits and avoid junk food, fast food, alcohol altogether.

Other related articles found in this health site includes tips for losing weight, how to detox your body, 12 nutrients for a healthy heart or you may want to explore the site by yourself.
