Psst.. Have you heard of bulk buying? Do you know that if you purchased something in bulk, you’ll get your items cheaper? Think Mydin. Or Tesco *smiles* OK, let’s not beat around the bush, a Malaysian online bulk discount store had recently been launched (it’s called Tumpang, by the way) and it will help you save by letting you by in bulk. But that doesn’t mean you’ll have to buy a dozen to be entitled to the discounted price (read: even if you buy only ONE, you’ll still be entitled to the discounts). Come, let me explain more about it..
The concept is fairly new to me, but is actually quite simple. Here’s how it works, in 3 easy steps:
- GATHER: Browse around Tumpang for all kinds of available deals (the list is growing) and click on any item for more details. If you like what you see, hit the “Tumpang It!” button to place a booking. Click on the “Tell Your Friend” button to gather more people for this deal. A Tumpang deal is only successful when the “Quantity Needed” is fulfilled. So the more people you gather, the quicker you’ll seal the deal.
- BUY: When the “Quantity Needed” is fulfilled, you are ready to buy. Follow the instructions given by the seller (or driver) when you view details of the item of your purchase. Alternatively, contact the seller by leaving a comment or a Private Message.
- SAVE: Now this is where things get excited! Since Tumpang is all about savings, with every ringgit you save, you’ll accumulate Toints - a Tumpang currency. With Toints, you’ll be able to trade on Tumpang as a seller. The more Toints you have, the more you can sell and the higher your Tumpang ranking.
Register now even if you don’t think you will buy anything at the moment. But then you know, domain names are going at RM 35 each, which is RM 20 OFF the normal retail price. WUCHING!! What are you waiting for?! See the cute little red button on the right? CLICK IT! Now!! Hahhaha
