Can you survive for 24 hours without your computer?

We have progressed to a state where we find life very difficult without computers, maybe even impossible. As such, have you EVER thought what would happen to you if they (the computers) disappeared for just one day? Do you think you would be able to cope? Shutdown your computer this Saturday and find out!

Be a part of one of the biggest global experiments ever to take place on the internet (I can’t verify this, but what harm will it do?). The idea behind the experiment is to find out how many people can go without a computer for one whole day, and what will happen if we all participate!

Psst.. I’m not sure whether I can stay away from the PC for a-whole-freaking-day, but I’ll try. Plus, there’s a lot to do at home - clean the room (what’s new?!), the laundry, wash the car, read the (REAL) newspapers, read a book (which reminds me that I’m halfway reading 1421 now)..

Psst.. Psst.. You may want to read this “7 things to prepare for Shutdown Day” — it’s very funny :)

Wow…I don’t know if I can. I’ve been getting better about being away and letting my husband game on the computer and things like that instead of hoarding it…but a WHOLE day?
I think I’m going to need the patch…or I’d wind up signing up for all the stuff I’ve been not signing up for on my mobile phone…so that I can stay in touch, but that’s cheating, isn’t it?

pelf: I don’t know if that’s cheating — but I guess as long as you don’t switch on your PC that should be OK (??) :)

No pc? Means I don’t have to work anymore! No salary! No shopping! No life! LoL…Cause I work as a graphic designer…

pelf: You do NEED a rest day, don’t you? :)

At least I won’t get to place my comment here if I don’t have a pc!

    That would be kinda boring…

pelf: I’ve seen your works — they’re very beautiful :)

I have been hearing bits and pieces about this around the internet, but, of course, only skimming - and then zooming my eyes away from the words as quickly as I can!! hahaha!

Until now - I was finally to the point of - ‘Ok - tell me about it…’ and I read your post!

    pelf: What good timing! :)

I don’t know, I just don’t know - now, if they had said Mar. 25th - that would be PERFECT - I’ll have a houseful of in-laws!! (Dear me!)

I suppose I could maybe, possibly try to give it a whirl…hmm…

pelf: And I wish you all the best :)
