Theme broken

Posted by pelf in Site News

If you haven’t already noticed it, I’ve “upgraded” my theme from a 2-column to a 3-column. I had to do a lot of editing on the CSS file because I heavily customized the theme to my own liking. Ain’t I proud of myself?!

But what I don’t understand is WHY one of my sidebars *points right* exceeds and breaks the page when a single post is viewed? Can anybody give me any advice? I’ve been working on it in the past three hours but I don’t seem to get the long sidebar wrapped in a single page :(

And I am T.H.I.S. C.L.O.S.E. to tearing my hair out :(

EDIT: Tom, the person who created this Mandigo theme, helped fixed it :) Thanks for your patience, Tom! *smiling from ear to ear*

    Hi Pelf,

Nice customization, I particularly like the header image!

pelf: Thanks, Tom.. The header image was taken from Flickr, the credit link is on my footer :)

Thanks again for reporting the issue with the sidebars. Sorry about your hair.

    Cheers!

pelf: Hhahaha, no problem about the hair, they will grow back :)

By the way, for those using IE, I’m sure they are having problem like me. In individual post, the comments and the contents are overlapping.

pelf: Oh my.. Will get back to Tom about this. Anyway, it’s ONE more reason to use FireFox!

    Hi Pelf,

Found your site when searching for Mandigo Theme in Google.
    Very nice customization.

I realized that the comments in other pages disappeared when I switched to Mandigo. Not sure whether it’s due to WordPress 2.2?

Do you have any idea whether it’s a feature or a bug?

    Thanks,
    GC

pelf: Hmm.. I don’t think it’s a WP 2.2 bug because my blog is also currently running on WP 2.2, but I’ve not encountered such instances. Perhaps you’d want to try ask Tom about it? You could be helping him nail those bugs! :)

    Hi Pelf,

    Thanks for your reply.
Yes, I’m using WP 2.2 now.
I was using other theme before the migration with several pages, and comments could be posted in those other pages.
However, after migration to WP 2.2, and selected Mandigo theme, I realised that the comments in all other pages disappeared and there’s no way to post comments in those other pages too.
Already switched to another theme and is working.
    Will check with Tom.

    Thanks,
    GC

    pelf: Don’t mention it! :)
