Another “only in Terengganu”

I posted a billboard which says “Terengganu Kekgi” right here not too long ago and I recently saw another similar billboard at Merang.

And this one says, “Terengganu Lening”.

*rolls eyes*

    :) Why shouldn’t they have these posters which speak in the language of the people? Anyway, the local ‘dialect’ is cool… though I hardly speak it well (too many years away, perhaps).

    “Lening” means “now”. (The poster is trying to display the recent development in the state)

    pelf: Hooray! We now have a “bahasa Terengganu” teacher! :) What about “kekgi”?

    wahahaha!!~ i just saw that billboard yesterday evening on the way to sutra beach resort!! was wondering the same thing as you and almost everyone on the bus was wondering out loud what it meant. :P

    Isn’t localization of the Malay language against government policies of usage of the national tongue in official business? hehe
