I posted a billboard which says “Terengganu Kekgi” right here not too long ago and I recently saw another similar billboard at Merang.
And this one says, “Terengganu Lening”.
*rolls eyes*
If you think this post might benefit other bloggers:

hmm… don’t really understand? I don’t know what that word means. -.-”
pelf: Hhahaa, I’m not surprised
Very few people know the meaning, I presume..
“Lening” means “now”. (The poster is trying to display the recent development in the state)
pelf: Hooray! We now have a “bahasa Terengganu” teacher!
What about “kekgi”?
wahahaha!!~ i just saw that billboard yesterday evening on the way to sutra beach resort!! was wondering the same thing as you and almost everyone on the bus was wondering out loud what it meant.
pelf: Now you do
BTW, how was the function?
Isn’t localization of the Malay language against government policies of usage of the national tongue in official business? hehe
pelf: I have no idea where the government stands on this issue *scratches head*
BTW, late late late reply but yes, I’d be interested in joining you on blogging about charity
pelf: Yea sure, will contact you about it
kekgi is simply next or after this (means in planning)
pelf: Thanks!
