It’s the 15th day of the Lunar New Year, which is traditionally known as “Chap Goh Mei” and also commercially known as the Chinese’ Valentine’s Day. Yup, today is THE day single girls throw mandarin oranges into the river and bachelors will fish them out somewhere downstream.

Mandarin oranges

Well, I don’t quite like the idea (or tradition, as you’d put it) because I see it as a waste of food. Edible food. Either way, I hope you had a wonderful Chinese New Year and may the Year of the Boar brings you more luck, prosperity, good health and success!

Speaking of which, I missed MY Prosperity Burger!

eh, you know, a food science girl told me that when she did her LI in McD, she found out that the meat they use for the prosperity burger is from expired meat! (O_o)

dunno whether true or not laaa…

pelf: OMG.. If that was true, I can foresee a lot of problems if somebody brought this up!
