Isn’t it sad that three-year-old Gus ends up in Malaysia and his owners are back in Canberra, Australia??

You see, Rohan was a Ph.D. student working on his river terrapin project in Cambodia. He and his wife, Kate, got themselves a Labrador Cross, and they named him Gus (pronounced Ga-az). As soon as Rohan completed his studies, he and Kate decided to return to Australia but they found out that the strict quarantine rules in Australia did not permit Gus to be brought into the country directly from Cambodia, but it was OK if Gus was from Malaysia.

So they stayed in Terengganu for six months. At the end of six months, Gus was sent for complete medical check-up and he passed all his tests except for a blood test. Apparently, he is carrying a tick borne disease, but is not actually sick.

Rohan and Kate recently found out that the treatment to eradicate the disease from his system may take years. He is currently in an animal hospital in KL, but he cannot stay there as he lives in a small cage. Hence they are now looking for good Samaritans who would take him in while he continues his treatment. He is a lovely, happy, friendly dog that is well behaved and lots of fun.

Is anybody interested in adopting Gus? Or do you know anybody who does? Would you please help Rohan and Kate find Gus a loving home, either by directing your dog-lover friends here, or by putting this post up in your blog? Pretty please..?

If you need further information on Gus, please drop them into the comment box. I will try to get them replied to ASAP.

Thank you very much in advance! :)
