I was contemplating whether I should apply for a PayPal account because I kind of picked up along the registration process that I needed a credit card number to proceed. Now, I don’t know about you, but I obviously do not have a credit card because, heck, I’m only a student! And a poor one at that!
So a lot of times I clicked the X button on my browser page halfway through the registration process.
But let’s not talk about that now since I’ve got that settled by keying in my Mum’s credit card number instead *winks* Shhh…
Now, let’s talk about a pretty credit card by Mint, which has the bottom right-hand corner removed. This was undoubtedly the first change to the shape of credit cards in the UK for 37 years. This credit card is not only pretty on the outside - from now until December 2007, there will be 0% interest on balance transfers and purchases.
And besides the pretty credit card, Mint is also offering gift cards. If you’re at a loss as to what to give your Mum for her up-coming birthday, you now have a solution! The gift card gives her the freedom to go shopping at her favourite shops. It’s more innovative than a gift voucher to spend in just one store, and it’s definitely more personal than cash.

You may not be aware, that there are a few of those cut away cards locally too. RHB, Hong Leong MTV card and UOB do offer the same cut away. In fact in my dot com days we almost launched a nice transparent credit card with cut away in Malaysia.. AHEM.
pelf: Oo la la.. I didn’t know about that! Because I don’t have one!! Wuahh..
