Here comes the beach house!
I promised Moz Monster a picture of the pretty beach house located along Penarik beach because he said he wanted to build himself a nice retirement home someday :) So Moz, this is the picture of the Penarik beach house I’d like to show you! This beach house is located on the right side of the road (from Kuala Terengganu) before Penarik Inn.
Now, isn’t this cool..? I mean, check out the floor-to-ceiling glass panes on the ground floor.. And the pretty traditional windows on the first floor.. And the front yard almost the size of a football field.. And the swimming pool right behind, which is also known as the South China Sea..
This beach house has got very beautiful views on both sides – the South China Sea view, as well as a view of “Tebing Pasir Penarik”, the river terrapins’ major nesting bank along Setiu River.

The house appears to be luxurious without looking out of place in what is a predominantly working class area. If I were to build one, I’d probably do something similar myself, although I would build the floor to ceiling wall on the side that faces the sea instead =)
And you’re right – it’s far enough from a major town. Maybe it’s a vacation home?
pelf: Yea, it probably serves as a vacation home but isn’t it a waste if you have such a luxurious house but you only use it once in a blue moon? And whenever you move in, say for a week, all the cleaning you have to do will exhaust you sooner than you can enjoy the views..

wow wat a long time to reply to your comments.. 2007- 2010. yes…it is a vacation hse. hahaha.. its a family retreat n holiday hse. Ala ala Camp David lahh. We leave n work in Ipoh, PERAK. it has 4 bedrooms. Anjung dat face the sea. dining n kitchen area. It consist of 4.5 acres of land. the land facing d river pun belongs to us.
pelf: We met Fizi in December 2008 (if I’m not mistaken), and he gave us a tour of the amazing house, and invited us to stay at his place every time we went to Setiu to do our river terrapin research and conservation project :D

pelf: It sure is a great getaway, otherwise you wouldn’t want to stay there as the nearest “civilized town” is an hour away :)
