I found the tubes! I found the tubes!
I finally found the tubes! YaY!
And all thanks to Moz for suggesting that I contact Aquaria to see if they could help me. I did, and even though they did not have the vacutainer tubes, the Curator gave me a contact number for somebody from UPM. I called the Veterinary Lab in UPM and the lab technician gave me the number of this sales person who might sell me 100 tubes instead of 1,000.
So I called this guy, and true enough, he does sell them in smaller packs. But unfortunately, he does not ship his products so I had to get a former coursemate to help me pick them up. Thanks, Audrey! :)
Anyway, I am glad I have finally found them. Now, the next task is to practice the art of drawing blood. A whooping 0.5mL of blood.

Being a turtle fan myself I admire the work you do and, of course, enjoy your photos on Flickr a lot. Please keep them coming. :-)
I teach at a high school in Wolfsburg, Germany, where we keep several pet turtles (Cuora amboina, Graptemys pseudogeographica). There is also a website run by students as well as myself. Now there was an article about a Batagur baska found in Thailand. And I would love to use one of your photos of a hatchling there.
