This is only for people who are staying in Melaka and who will be free this coming Saturday, Dec 9th.
There will be a gotong-royong this weekend at the Turtle Sanctuary in Padang Kemunting, Masjid Tanah. Food and drinks will be provided, but the best thing is that it is FREE and you may bring your family and friends along. The more, the merrier! There will also be a slide show as well as a guided tour to the turtle hatchery, so don’t miss this opportunity to learn more about the turtles - especially the critically-endangered hawksbill turtle.
Date: 9 December 2006 (Saturday)
Time: 9:30 am to 4:30pm
Venue: Turtle Sanctuary, Padang Kemunting, Masjid Tanah, Melaka.
There will be a one-hour drawing competition which is open to kids aged 4 to 12. The kids will be divided into three categories according to their age group, and each kid will be charged RM5, and will receive a box of colour pencils, 2 pencils, a ruler and an eraser. Please note that participants can only use the colour pencils provided by the organizers, which means your kids cannot bring their 2-tier LUNA colour pencils along *winks*
And there’s one more thing! There will be a sand-turtle-building competition at 3pm, and the whole family can participate! Oh my, this will be very fun
