Share-A-Gift is MPH’s annual charity programme that aims to provide reading materials to less fortunate children from orphanages nationwide. This year, they are also assisting in the upkeep on these homes by raising funds through their inaugural Share-A-Gift Carnival.
The proceeds from the sale of the coupons will be chanelled to the Share-A-Gift fund and rest assured that your support will go a long way in making this possible.

Now, there are TWO ways in which you can contribute to this charity programme:
- Buy a gift for a child. If you’d like to buy a child a reading material, all you need to do is to choose a name from heart-shaped cards hung from Christmas trees in MPH Bookstores, purchase an appropriate book for the recipient, write your message on a card and pass it to the cashier. MPH will then wrap your gift and ensure that the child receives it before Christmas.
- Purchase coupons and join the fun at the Share-A-Gift Carnival on 16 December 2006 (Saturday) from 10am to 4pm at Crowne Plaza Mutiara, KL. You can either get the coupons at any MPH Bookstores in the Klang Valley, or get them online (a handling fee of RM2 will be charged for each booklet sold online). Each booklet consists of 10 pieces of RM2 coupons. And at the Carnival, you may redeem the coupons for food and beverages, games, handicraft, books and reading materials.

The Share-A-Gift Carnival sounds like a fun event *smiles* Besides contributing to the charity homes (proceeds from the sale of coupons will go to the funds raised for 50 homes), you will get to have LOADS of fun because there will be story-telling, performances and exhibitions besides food and beverages, games, handicraft etc.
Now, the bad news is that I will NOT be able to attend the Carnival because heck, I will be in Terengganu!!
But the good news is that I have 5 booklets of coupons to give away. Yes, for FREE, how does this sound? The ONLY catch is that you MUST be able to make it to the Carnival because I do not want to waste the coupons - fair, isn’t it? Now, all you need to do is to leave me a comment and promise that you will be at the Carnival, and I will send you a booklet of coupons, it’s as simple as ABC ![]()

How sweet of you… for the sake of the children! Too bad though no MPH or bookshops here (I don’t exactly consider Intan a proper one, since the selections are extremely limited, impoverished rather, and like many other Malaysian ‘bookshops’ other than the independent-rebels, sell mainly study guides)
pelf: Pustaka Seri Intan is not a full-fledge bookstore but beggars can’t be choosers
PS. You buy your books when you are in KL?
pelf: Sometimes.. Other times I buy from MPH Online, hahaha, I’m your typical lazy-girl-next-door
Pustaka Seri Intan is the ONLY bookstore in KT that sells CINEMA ONLINE Magazine. Kudos!
pelf: !!!
Eh… Why Singapore no have!!! MPH here no good haha
pelf: Come back to Malaysia then, hahhaha
I have no idea but the gifts covered looks great….
pelf: And it was for a good cause
