I received this poem from Amelia, whom I am sure is not a stranger in the blogosphere, and she suggested that I put it up in my blog to encourage YOU to support Eden Hendicap Service Centre. Now, be good, and make THAT pledge. YOU can make a difference..

Be generous to a fault…
A special appeal from Amelia Jane

What you keep, you never use,
What you give away, you get back in time and again,
It’s the law of generosity,
Our temptation is to hold on to our possessions and money so tightly that our knuckles turn white,
Our common thoughts are “What’s mine is mine” and “I worked for it, and I deserve to keep every penny”,
Those who practice generosity know that giving to others is the best way to receive,
We are blessed in order to bless others,
When you give generously, you build up a bank of good will,
Don’t be a miser with your “treasure”,
That’s the secret to true riches.

Giving is Living.

I started visiting your blog on Monday and I like it.
That\’s a very nicely written poem.
I will inform my classmates about Eden and hopefully we\’ll be able to contribute a little something.

pelf: Thank you very much, Tung Yin, you’re a gem :)

    pelf: ???!

Pelf: Thanks for posting the piece. Let’s hope that it will in one way or another inspire your readers & pals to come foward & give their support to Eden. :)

tung yin: Thanks for your compliment & I hope that your contribution will come true. However, I’m curious as to why you are using some kind of programme to leave your comment. I’ve double-checked with some tech ppl & the words you wrote “That\’s” & “we\’ll” gave it away. But, having said that, I sincerely hope that my curiousity isn’t driving you away from being a charitable person. Please accept my apologies if the tech ppl & myself have made the wrong assumption. Thanks again.

Feli: Don’t get so excited. LOL. I don’t know you & I’ve never met you before.

pelf: No problem ;) But then again, I cannot and will not expect my “friends” to change their attitute (concerning this) overnight *smiles*

pelf: I can only try my best to convince them. No guarantee.

Amelia: I was surfing in a cyber-cafe this afternoon. I am not sure if the operator installed any programme on the PC but I had some difficulty submitting my comment at first. Thanks for the information.

pelf: Yes, I understand, and thank you for the willingness to try :)

tung yin: Thanks very much for the clarification. Cyber-cafe.. now I understand. Anyway, I hope that your classmates will support you in this worthy project. Good Luck! :)

Pelf: I would like to wish you and your pals every success on 29th July. :)

pelf: Yea, thanks :)) Do drop by at Yvonne’s, OK?

good luck on the 29th, Pelf :)

i’m doing my part as well by selling tickets to the charity sale at civic centre - not a great deal but just a gesture from my part.

pity i can’t write nice poems - i’m better at expressing my help at the charity sales…

pelf: Yea, thanks Laksa.. I’ll definitely need some luck because I’m not sure if I’d have something to write about continuously… :) Good luck to you too! :)
